The University of Maine is placed at Tier 3 among Best National Universities in the country, it is also the only institution in Maine ranked as a national university in the U.S. News and World Report rankings 2009. The University of Maine School of Law is listed in the top 100 law schools in the 2010 edition of the US News & World Report.
