Stanford University (US) is the top ranked school for Computer Science in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2011 subject rankings, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2nd in the world) and University of California, Berkeley (3rd in the world).
Purdue University's Department of Computer Science is ranked 18th out of 100 computer science programs at universities
