Cambridge is ranked No. 1 in the UK for mathematics (up form 2nd in 2011) according to the Complete University Guide 2012, followed by Oxford in 2nd place (down from No. 1 in 2011) and Imperial College London in 3rd place (up from 4th in 2011).
Mathematics at Sussex was ranked 11th in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2012 and in the top 20 nationally in The Complete University Guide
